LeDoux Ranch is located in the native grass of North Central Kansas. This is where we run our seed stock herd of Gelbvieh, Balancer and Red Angus Cattle. We also run a commercial herd on the place. This is where three generations of family have run cattle and row crop farming.
Andy and Danielle started LeDoux Ranch in 2000. After finishing college and getting married, Andy came from Northeast Kansas where they were running Gelbvieh and Red Angus Cattle. His family has been in the Gelbvieh breed since 1982 and the Red Angus breed since 1996. Danielle’s family is from North Central Kansas where they are now located. She grew up on a commercial cattle and row crop farming operation.
We have been blessed with two great kids. JW and Jady are a big part of the operation. They are both involved with showing cattle, 4-H, and helping Grandpa with their farming operation.
Both Andy and Danielle are involved in the day to day working of the ranch. Today our cow herd consists of mainly Balancer, Red Angus and a handful of Purebred Gelbvieh cattle. Looking ahead we will go in the same direction, targeting 3/4 Red Angus or Angus and 1/4 Gelbvieh Balancers. We firmly believe these cattle will be accepted, if not receive a premium, now and in the future.
View our NWSS Sales offerings on our SALES page. The Western Heritage Sale is Saturday, Jan. 7th and the National Gelbvieh / Balancer Sale is Sunday, Jan. 8th, in Denver. If you can’t join us at the NWSS, bid online in both auctions with LiveAuctions.tv.
Together we are committed to breeding better cattle that fit the future demands of the beef industry. We believe that no breed is perfect and we must complement them; creating the most efficient, profit-oriented product for our customers.Andy LeDoux
